Raw Bounty Balls (Vegan/Gluten Free/No Refined Sugar)


These bounty balls taste like the real deal. They are packed with coconut goodness and contain zero refined sugar. These balls don't last long in our house because they are a family favourite.


Makes: 12 balls (depending on size)

Prep time: 10 minutes

Chill time: 15 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of almond meal

  • 6 pitted dates

  • 4 tablespoons of rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

  • 7 tablespoon of desiccated coconut

  • ⅛ of a teaspoon of salt

  • 1 tablespoon of shredded coconut

Chocolate layer:

  • 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa (more or less depending on your taste)

  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup

  • Or 100 grams of 85% dark chocolate


Steps:

  1. Soak your pitted dates in boiling water for 10 minutes and then drain.

  2. Add your dates, meal, oats, oil, salt and desiccated coconut in a food processor and blend until fully combined.

  3. Roll your mixture into balls and place in the fridge.

  4. Melt your chocolate.

  5. Coat your coconut balls in the chocolate and then sprinkle shredded coconut on top.

  6. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

  7. Enjoy!
