Homemade Salsa (Gluten Free/Vegan/No Sugar)
We created this salsa as we didn’t want to have the store-bought salsas as they were high in sodium and preservatives. This homemade salsa is quick and simple and will last about a week in the fridge. It works great on our tacos or as a fresh dip.
Ingredients
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- ½ tablespoon of chopped jalapenos
- ¼ cup of lemon or lime juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander to top the salsa
Instructions
- Dice the tomatoes, onion and place in a bowl.
- Mix in the cumin, jalapenos, lemon or lime and salt to taste.
- Top your salsa with freshly chopped coriander and enjoy!
Notes
- You can remove the flesh of the tomato, to create a crunchier salsa, however, we prefer ours runny.
